Kaulige Foods is an Bangalore-based initiative, whose mission is to spread millet awareness and encourage millet consumption in every household in Bangalore.

We are working towards this mission by conducting awareness workshops, offering catering services and distributing millets such as Finger millet (Ragi), Foxtail (Navane), Kodo (Haarka), Proso (Baragu), Pearl (Sajje), Sorghum (Jowar), Little (Samei), Barnyard (Oodhalu).

Millets are highly nutritious, non-glutinous and not acid forming foods. Hence they are soothing and easy to digest. They are considered to be the least allergenic and most digestible grains available. Compared to rice, especially polished rice, millets release lesser percentage of glucose and over a longer period of time. This lowers the risk of diabetes. We have also opened an new kiosk at Brigade Road, Bangalore where you can buy all your millet supplies.
