Villgro Innovations Foundation, India’s leading social enterprise incubator, is organizing its annual Unconvention Speaker series of talks across various metro cities in India during April 2018. Villgro Unconvention Speaker Series are smaller, more focused events where top experts are invited to talk on specific issues pertaining to early-stage social startups, such as using a business model canvas, legal compliance, understanding a term-sheet, fundraising, etc.
The first of the Villgro Unconvention Speaker Series is happening in Hyderabad on 20 April 2018, where eminent speakers like Vijay Nadiminti from A-IDEA NAARM TBI; Jasveer Singh, from Sense It Out; and N.V Ramana from Samunnati will be speaking on “Harvesting change through entrepreneurship: tackling global agricultural challenges”.
The next event will take place in Bengaluru on 25 April 2018, where Kalyan Siva, 5C Network, Varun Kapoor, Menterra Venture Advisors and Pratibha Boga-Kamat Entrepreneurship & Innovation, C-Camp will talk on the topic “Under the microscope: investing in healthcare startups”. On the same day in Mumbai, Ritu Verma Co-Founder, Ankur Capital Fund, Anshu Bhartia CEO, Unltd India, Vineet Rai, Founder, Aavishkaar Intellecap Group will speak on “Capital success: seed funds to venture capital”.
The Villgro Unconvention Speaker Series will then move next door to Pune on 26 April 2018, where speakers such as Shitij Malhotra, Sushrat Foundation, Veena Moktali, Periwinkle Technologies, and Dr.Yogesh Patil, Biosense Technologies will discuss on the topic “Better health without breaking the bank: how low-cost innovations are revolutionizing healthcare”.
The next event in the series will be held at Thiruvananthapuram on 30 April 2018 where experts will discuss various issues related to “Agri-tech matters”. Later the talk series will shift to Chennai on 2 May 2018, where speakers will deliberate on “Retooling learning and schooling”.
