3M India, in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry, has once again called for young inventors to participate in the fifth ‘Young Innovators Challenge Awards 2018’. This is an annual online competition to identify, encourage, source and recognize the ability of young people, under the age of 30 to create new solutions for a sustainable India.
3M India takes pride in hosting the 5th year of this challenge, which searches for disruptive future-ready innovations and sustainable solutions that can strengthen India’s innovation leadership globally. These ideas could be in the areas of health, education, livelihood, environment, art & culture, governance and inclusive development. 3M is not only looking at products, services or technology as solutions but also practices and initiatives that will be responsible for generating a shift in people’s thinking to drive positive change.
Prizes worth INR1,500,000 are on offer under 3 categories in the 3M Young Innovators Challenge. There is a special focus on innovations from rural India this year and a new category of ‘Rural Innovations’ awards have been introduced. There are two prizes under this category – worth INR500,000.
All shortlisted nominations will be invited for a virtual pitch presentation to the 3M Panel on 12th and 13th June 2018 and a finale presentation to the Jury on 25th June. The winners will be felicitated at the upcoming CII Innovation Summit in July 2018.
