Leading personal care brand L’Oréal India has launched the fifth edition of its L’Oréal Sustainability Challenge 2021. This year’s all-digital challenge is in partnership with Garnier’s Green Beauty Initiative, where young students are invited to come up with new innovative ideas to reduce the environmental impact of cosmetic products.

In this area, Garnier’s Green Beauty Initiative that aims to transform its forward and backward linkages to reduce its environmental impact is in line with L’Oréal’s sustainability commitment. This L’Oréal Sustainability Challenge program along with its strong environmental ethics and diversification enables L’Oréal to contribute to the UN sustainable development goals. Through this sustainability challenge, L’Oréal and Garnier will complement their commitment to innovating, producing and living sustainably, while sharing growth with employees, suppliers and communities at large.

Graduate students from various business schools and engineering colleges are eligible to participate in this L’Oréal Sustainability Challenge 2021 competition, which consists of a 3-tier round hosted by Dare2Compete. Participants will be given a case study, based on which they have to come up innovative solutions such as reduce or eliminate plastic packaging and ensure sustainable sourcing. The participants need to present their innovative ideas in a standard format:

  • Round 1: Submission of case study in 3-slide solutions
  • Round 2: Top 100 teams will give 10-slide solutions
  • Round 3: Finale presentation

The winning team will receive a pre-placement interview with L’Oréal India. Both the winners and runner-ups will receive gift hampers and goodies. The deadline for registration is 16th September 2021.
