IIC to organise People’s Festival of Innovations at Delhi

rural-innovation-jugaad-innovations-krishna-thiruvengadamThe India International Centre (IIC) is organizing a People’s Festival of Innovations from 19th to 29th November 2022 as part of its diamond jubilee. Located in New Delhi, IIC is one of India’s top cultural institutions, which is now celebrating its 75th anniversary. 

On this occasion, the People’s Festival of Innovations is being organized in association with Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN) to bring together a large number of socially relevant and high impact innovations for public viewing. 

The People’s Festival of Innovations event will be inaugurated on 18th November 2022. Innovations are being mentored by Dr. Renu Swarup, former Secretary, Dept. of Biotechnology, Min. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India; Prof. Anil Gupta, Founder, Honey Bee Network, SRISTI, GIAN & NIF, Visiting Faculty, IIMA & Niper-A, Academy Professor, ACSIR; Dr. Swati Basu, former Scientific Secretary, Office of Principle Scientific Adviser; and Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed, CEO and Director, CCAMP, Bengaluru. 

The event in collaboration with C-CAMO and GIAN is a science innovation exhibition for both grassroot innovations as well as deep tech innovations. This year’s focus will be on innovations that revolve around India’s growing biotechnology and bio-innovative ecosystem, which have impacted our society across sectors. 

From 19th to 29th November, the exhibition will be displayed at the Gandhi King Plaza and Exhibition Gallery Multipurpose Hall. Further, two panel discussions will be held on 21 and 22 November 2022 in Seminar Rooms I to III of the Kamaladevi Complex as a part of this exhibition.
