Village Story, in association with Decathlon and Ecoideaz Ventures, is organizing a unique event named Make-in-India Mela on 15 August 2018 in an effort to connect people on two social causes – culture and ecology. The event brings together handcraft artisans, eco-conscious traders, musicians, ecology experts, organic farmers all under one roof at two different venues – Village Story and Decathlon Anubhava in Bengaluru.
Nestled in the heart of a village behind Jakkur Lake in North Bengaluru, Village Story is a startup with a vision of building positive rural communities focused on self-sustainability and growing healthy food through community farming. To celebrate its first anniversary on 15th August, Village Story has joined hands with Decathlon Anubhava – large sports retail store located at Chikkajala on Bellary Road to organize this Make-in-India Mela.
The day will begin early with ‘Freedom Run’ being organized from Jakkur Lake to Agrahara village and culminating in Village Story’s campus. Soon after, there will be fun fairs, DIY workshops, village experiential tours, and music gigs, which will keep both kids and adults busy till lunch. After lunch, the Make-in-India Mela will shift to Decathlon Anubhava.
