Schneider Electric, the specialist in energy management and automation, is organizing its first-ever edition of Schneider Electric Innovation Challenge from 18-21 September 2019. Named ‘Hackware 2019’, this is one of a kind hackathon designed for solving challenges in energy management and automation in the core engineering domain.
The Hackware challenge calls upon all the students, professionals, and professors to build a prototype for their idea and solve various problems in the field of energy in an innovative manner. With 3 themes, 6 challenges, and a lucrative cash prize of INR800,000, Schneider Electric calls upon technocrats to present their out-of-the-box ideas and the best idea will reach the Schneider Electric leadership team for incubation initiative!
The forum will provide a golden opportunity to interact with the global leaders and experts from the Schneider Electric fraternity who will guide the participants throughout the process. The 72-hour hackathon is organized under three themes –
- Decarbonization – Decarbonize energy and enable access to green energy for sustainable developments
- Decentralization – Decentralize energy and enable sustainable developments
- Digitization – Digitize our business and enable access to energy or sustainable developments
Participants are invited to submit their bold ideas to one of the Challenge Areas impacting urban, residential buildings and other industry sectors to enable better “Buildings of the Future”, “Plants of the Future”, “Grids of the Future” and “Sustainability and Access to Energy”. This open innovative platform is committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
You can apply individually but will be teamed up during the event when your application is accepted. The last date to apply is 3 September 2019. The grand finale will be held from 18th to 21st September 2019, at Forge Factory, KCT Tech Park, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
