The offices of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in Madhya Pradesh will be utilizing solar power to generate electricity in their offices.
BSNL management in Madhya Pradesh made an agreement with the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam to set up the solar power units in 148 buildings of BSNL in the entire state.
According to the agreement signed by the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nijam, 147 BSNL offices are going to be incorporated with 2,615KW capacity solar power panels and the regional head office of BSNL is going to be installed with a 60KW capacity solar power plant.
It is estimated that installing of these solar power units is going to cost approximately INR220 million. The MP state government will provide a subsidiary amount of INR39.2 million and the Union government will give a sum of INR58.8 million as subsidiary amount for the installation of the solar power plants.
