Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad is celebrating the International Earth Day in 2018 with a series of cultural events spread over two weeks in April in its center in Hyderabad.
Goethe-Zentrum functions as a unit of the Goethe Institut, whose mission is to bring about a cultural understanding between the people of India and Germany through a host of programs in the fields of music, literature, theatre and other art forms, in addition to the language. It offers regular language courses and organizes cultural events.
Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad regularly organizes awareness programs and cultural events for raising awareness on environmental issues in India. This year as well, the institute has organized a series of cultural events include various art exhibitions, film screenings, talk shows, dance drama, etc:

• 18 April – Talk show: Are You Wasting Waste? – How recycling industry looks like and what happened to your waste? By Waste Ventures India
• 20 April – Interactive Talk – Waste To Food – A talk about composting bio-degradable waste by Greenpeace
• 26 April – Startup Sanshodhan: An E-waste Exchange – Talk show on building a digital infrastructure enabling circular economy in e-waste management sector by Dr Shalini Sharma
