Frost & Sullivan, in association with The Energy & Resource Institute (TERI) have given away Sustainability 4.0 Awards 2018, which recognize the efforts made by companies in actively integrating sustainability principles into their business culture. These awards are instituted to accelerate the adoption of sustainable development practices through a benchmarking and recognition process. The award was open to companies across manufacturing, logistics, hotels, IT, BPO, financial services, construction, telecommunications and healthcare in India and Middle East.
Reliance Industries Ltd won the overall ‘Sustainable Corporate of the Year Award’, while Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s Igatpuri unit won the ‘Sustainable Factory of the Year Award’. Mahindra’s Igatpuri unit also won the ‘Safety Excellence Award’ along with Hindustan Zinc Ltd’s Chanderiya unit.
Further, the Leaders Award for Mega Large Business at the Sustainability 4.0 Awards 2018 were awarded to Mondelez India, Indian Oil Corporation, Hindalco Industries, Hindustan Zinc Ltd, Bharat Aluminium Company, Maruti Suzuki India, Genpact India and L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering. In addition, ACC Ltd, Henkel Adhesive Technologies, Lucas TVS Ltd, Schneider Electric India, UPL Ltd, Vedanta Ltd, also won awards.
