Art of Living to host River Rejuvenation Conference in Bengaluru

Spiritual organization, the Art of Living Foundation is hosting a conference on river rejuvenation on 5-6 December 2017 at Bengaluru. Organised in association with the International Association for Human Values (IAHV), the River Rejuvenation Conference aims to bring together water resource engineers, social scientists, policymakers and rural as well as urban youth, in order to accelerate it to a national movement for a water sufficient India.

India’s water crisis has escalated into a frightening situation over the past years. Multiple causes have led to the drying up of important rivers of India. The AOL Foundation has been involved in comprehensive and eco-friendly planning and implementation of revival of river basins in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and other states. Five years of relentless efforts are yielding good results.

To accelerate a solution-based approach for reviving rivers, the AOL Foundation, in support with IAHV, is holding this conference at The Art of Living International Center, Bengaluru. Renowned scientists such as Dr. Lingaraju Yale, Prof. Subramanya K, Prof. Subhajyothi Das will be presenting their papers at the conference, while dignitaries Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder, The Art of Living, Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Water Resources, Kiran Kumar, Chairman, ISRO are also expected to speak.
