The Association of Green Industries & Services (AGIS) is organizing a “National Seminar and Exhibition on Green Jobs & Business Opportunities” at Bhopal on 19-20 March 2018. The event is being organized jointly with the Rabindranath Tagore University (formerly AISECT University), Bhopal. The event shall cover all green domains such as energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, natural alternatives, organics etc.
Due to rising awareness and the various initiatives being taken up at national and international levels, the demand for eco-friendly (sustainable technology) products and services is increasing every day. The concepts of sustainable development are opening up new jobs and business opportunities. As countries implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals, millions of green jobs & business opportunities will be made available. In order to explore such opportunities, this two-day seminar & exhibition is being held concurrently.
The National Seminar on Green Jobs & Business Opportunities will cover topics such as:
- Green Economy – Way forward towards sustainable development
- Roles of the government agencies in the development of green institutional structure
- Development of green entrepreneurship
- Greening of existing businesses
- Presentations by successful green entrepreneurs
- Draft common green manifesto for the political parties
Educational institutions, corporate enterprises, are invited to send delegates to participate in the seminar and understand various green options available. Since AGIS will be inviting a large network of people from its association, it would be an excellent opportunity for SMEs and non-profit organizations to promote their green solutions and eco-friendly products.
