Eco toys are made up from natural shed yak wool (organic wool) of Takmachik. These activities were initiated to provide indoor activity during harsh winter months of Ladakh when there is no farming activity. Eco toys cost about INR 1200 and are made from organic wool and promote alternative livelihoods of women farmers in the winters. They are in the shape of the snow leopard to make people aware about the conservation of the endangered species and other local animals of Ladakh such as boom boo (donkey) just to foster a connection with the local animals & their sacredness.
