Asian Development Bank (ADB) is organizing the first-ever virtual Asia Clean Energy Forum 2020, a platform to connect diverse clean energy stakeholders from across Asia from 15-19 June 2020 at Manila, Philippines.
Since 2005, Asia Clean Energy Forum has been one of Asia’s leading events, which has been facilitating renewable energy stakeholders to come under one roof for knowledge sharing and highlighting ADB’s groundbreaking work to scale up clean energy investments in the region. These stakeholders are the people who are passionate and eager to bring about a change towards a more sustainable energy future.
This year’s Asia Clean Energy Forum is going virtual to ensure the safety and health of the participants, yet assuring the same level of quality and value that ACEF is known for. The vision for this year’s agenda is “Cross-sectoral innovations for a sustainable future”. Apart from the theme-based discussions, a major focus will be on global energy challenges and the impact of COVID-19, along with sessions on innovative ways to make the world a better place to live.
Plenary sessions will cover global energy challenges, showcasing successful energy projects in ADB’s member countries, engaging with the private sector, and energy innovations and future directions. Technical sessions will be covered in these four thematic tracks:
- Nationally Determined Commitments under the Paris climate accord
- Multi-sector approaches to clean energy development (Energy ++)
- Differentiated approaches to address energy challenges in fragile and conflict-affected states
- Building energy sector resilience in small island developing states
Deep Dive Workshops will ensure interactions at the plenary and technical sessions. Interested participants can register on the ACEF website
