Jagriti Yatra invites enterprising youth for its 10th expedition

Jagriti Sewa Sansthan, a social innovations enterprise, is back with its annual expedition around the nation, Jagriti Yatra. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this 15-day long train journey, where enterprising youth are taken 8,000 kilometers across the length and breadth of India, to understand the India of smaller towns and villages through enterprise.

500 youngsters, selected from thousands of applicants, many from smaller towns and villages, join the Yatra during December 2017, with the goal of creating awareness and start a movement of ‘building India through enterprise’.

With Jagriti Yatra successfully running for past few years, the organization is now focusing on building Jagriti Enterprise Network, an ecosystem to support the young entrepreneurs from Middle India. Jagriti Enterprise Institute is a long-term plan of Jagriti Sewa Sansthan, which envisages to be a physical incubation center for Middle India enterprises.

In this endeavor, Sustainable Enterprise Award has been instituted for those have enterprises working in the sectors of agriculture, water and recycling across 25 districts of India. Jagriti Yatra has already helped around 600 enterprises to work fruitfully and is now looking out for new ventures in these sustainability fields. The candidates can register themselves on the Yatra website to submit their ideas.
