Espark Viridian & Headstart launch Smartup 2017 business plan contest

Espark Viridian, a startup accelerator, in association with Headstart Network Foundation has announced the launch of Smartup 2017, a pan-India business plan contest for students and new entrepreneurs. This is the third edition of the contest, which invites applicants from all over India.

Espark Viridian is a multi-sector startup accelerator program that helps new entrepreneurs to empower their business ideas and encourages entrepreneurial dreams of college students. Whereas Headstart is one of India’s oldest and largest startup ecosystems that runs almost entirely by passionate volunteers across 22 cities.

The Smartup 2017 business plan contest has 3 merits, in which 25 startups will be shortlisted and the best three will get the prize money. The winners will be showcased on the YouTube channel and get access to one-to-one mentoring and acceleration assistance to help transform their ideas into successful enterprises.

The panelists selected by Espark Viridian and Headstart includes Vibhuti Channa (Viridian Ventures), Amit Singh (Headstart Network Foundation), Arpit Agrawal (Blume ventures) Ashish Taneja (Growx Venture) and Paresh Gupta (Global Centre for Entrepreneurship and Headstart Network Foundation). The applications for Smartup 2017 will be closing soon by 15th September and the awards will be presented on 7th October at Delhi.
