Hogan Lovells has announced its Community Solar Innovation Awards 2017 for innovative eco-inclusive enterprises utilizing solar energy systems or solar technology innovation to improve the lives of poor communities. SEED and Barefoot College are supporting the outreach activities of the Community Solar Innovation Awards 2017.
Around 10 awards are offer for social enterprises that aim to generate environmental, social and economic benefits at the local level. Judges will be looking for enterprises from developing countries, which are locally-led and significantly help the lives of women, particularly those which focus on gender equality or female empowerment.
All the winners will get tailored support services consisting of capacity building, pro-bono legal support, profiling by Hogan Lovells, SEED & Barefoot College and support in replicating their enterprises in other regions. Further, one overall winner will receive financial contribution of $10,000. Eligible candidates can apply until 16 August 2017.
